How to Maintain a Pair of Crocs

How to Maintain a Pair of Crocs

Crocs are all the rage in footwear these days. Old and young, people of all walks of life are finding relief from ill-fitting footwear in these fun and foamy shoes. If you own a pair of Crocs, you can't protect them from the questioning stares of strangers, but you can protect them from the ravages of time. Here's how:

Step
1

Adjust the fit of your Crocs by gently stretching the heel strap outward from the shoe. Pulling too hard can cause the heel strap to detach from the shoe, so do this with some care.

Step
2

Use the special Crocs Turbo Strap instead of the regular heel strap if your feet are particularly hard to fit. The better the fit of the Crocs, the lower the chance that you'll have some sort of foam-marring accident in them.

Step
3

Wash your Crocs with warm soapy water whenever they're looking especially dirty. They're sturdy shoes, so they won't mind the grime, but your friends or co-workers might, so keep them clean.

Step
4

Know when to trade your old Crocs out for a new pair. Crocs that are worn-down can be dangerous to walk around in, especially if the tread is worn to the point of being nearly flat.

Step
5

Avoid leaving your Crocs in areas prone to high temperatures, such as the inside of a car or other poorly-ventilated enclosure that gets direct sunlight. They will shrink under high heat.

Step
6

Use Crocs Butter to renew the shoes' original luster and shine.
